Safety Pledge

As a customer, you understand the advantages of hiring a safety-conscious roofing contractor. Safety on the roof translates into protection for your employees, vendors, contractors, family and anyone else visiting your home site.

Since most PetersenDean employees spend their workdays at least 15 feet off the ground, our commitment to safety is as solid as the roofs we build. Preventing accidents and ensuring the safest possible working conditions – for our employees and our customers—remain priorities across all PetersenDean divisions. We have mandated fall protection for all field workers since 2002—exceeding Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements.

Over the years we’ve spent millions of dollars keeping our employees safe. Our safety program includes workforce training, safety equipment for each employee, as needed, and employee incentives for working safely—all of which demonstrate that at PetersenDean, we don’t just talk about safety; we invest in it.

PetersenDean maintains Worker’s Compensation, general liability and automobile insurance for its operations throughout the country. A copy of our certificate of insurance is registered with the contractors’ license boards in the states in which we do business; it also can be provided at the customer’s request.

A Clear Leader in Roofing Safety

PetersenDean’s focus on safety extends beyond our own workforce; our efforts have earned us state and federal recognition and participation in important injury and illness prevention campaigns:

Six Golden Gate Partnership Awards—more than any other roofing contractor—from California/OSHA

Partner with Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) to promote conventional fall protection standards throughout the state’s construction industry

Pioneer participant in U.S. Centers for Disease Control’s National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) case study for respiratory protection from silica dust

Leader and volunteer for NIOSH case study for fall protection feasibility in residential construction
