Jim Petersen
President and Chief Executive Officer
Educated in local schools, Jim formed PetersenDean Roofing and Solar Systems in 1984 with less than $5,000.00 and three employees. Jim has served as president of the California Roofing Contractors Association, as well as past president of the governing board of education for the Fremont Unified School District. Current active memberships and participating roles include the Solar Energy Industries Association, The National Roofing Contractors Association, and Habitat for Humanity, The Sierra Club (life membership) The Building Industry Association and The National Association of Home Builders.

David Van Beek
Chief Operations Officer
David Van Beek joined PetersenDean as co-owner and vice president of Finance in 1990 after a successful career at a Big 8 accounting firm and subsequently as the operations manager of a large, publicly held retailer. David now serves as PetersenDean's chief operating officer. He is active in the Western States Roofing Contractors Association, the National Association of Roofing Contractors and the Building Industry Association. He also volunteers for Catholic Charities, the Make-A-Wish Foundation and Habitat for Humanity. David holds both general contractor’s licenses and roofing licenses in several states.

Joe Dean
Senior Vice President, Re-roof Operations
As PetersenDean's senior vice president, Joe Dean oversees all re-roofing operations. A certified journeyman and master craftsman, Joe co-founded PetersenDean in 1984. Throughout his years with the company he has trained scores of roofing crews, imparting technical expertise and his values around doing roofs right. Joe participates in the Western States Roofing Contractors Association, the National Association of Roofing Contractors and the Building Industry Association.

Jay Petersen
Executive Vice President, National Sales and Analytics
Jay joined PetersenDean in 2009, bringing with him over 20 years of experience in Senior and Executive leadership positions in Sales, Service Delivery, Operations and Finance. Jay's previous experience includes building and establishing successful sales and service delivery teams for large infrastructure projects in the United States, South America, Australia, Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore. Prior to joining PetersenDean, Jay held Senior and Executive positions in Sales, Service Delivery, Operations and Finance with Cisco Systems, Telcordia, Hewlett-Packard and Pacific Bell. Jay holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of San Francisco and is fluent in Spanish and conversational Japanese.

Michael Clifton
Vice President, Solar Solutions
Michael joined PetersenDean in 2005 as the Vice President and Chief Engineer of our Solar Solutions Division, bringing over 30 years of knowledge and expertise to the company. Mike has taught and developed classes at the University level in solar engineering which have included PV Systems, Active Solar Energy, Passive Solar Energy, System Design and hosted lab classes. In Addition, Mike has designed and installed over 5000 solar thermal and 1000 PV systems during his career in the solar industry, Mike is a NAPCEP Certified PV installer and also holds an MS and BS in Engineering from Stanford University as well as several industry licenses, including Solar Energy, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC and General Construction.

Aaron Nitzkin
Executive Vice President, PD Solar
Aaron brings to PetersenDean an extensive background in business development, sales, and marketing, having worked for both start-ups and Fortune Global 500 companies. These companies include The Walt Disney Company, Kobe Steel, Knowledge Universe, and Sharp Electronics. Since 2002, he has been pursuing his passion for green building and solar energy. Through his work at OCR Solar & Roofing, he was instrumental in dramatically increasing adoption of solar by homebuilders throughout California. Aaron is fluent in Japanese, earned an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business, a BA from Indiana University, and is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.

Bill Scott
Vice President of Sales
Bill is the Vice President of Sales for PetersenDean. Bill earned an MS in Environmental Management from the University of San Francisco and a BS in Economics from the University of Wyoming. Bill's background includes sales, marketing, operational and executive positions during a career comprising 20 years in the renewable energy industry (solar and energy efficiency) and 10 years in information systems technology. Prior to coming to PetersenDean, he worked for Akeena Solar, most recently as Exectutive Vice President of Sales operations, and helped to grow revenue from residential and commercial solar system installations from $1,000,000 in 2002 to over $40,000,000 in 2008.

Michael J. Patterson
Solar Division Vice President of Operations
Michael joined PetersenDean in early 2009. He has managed over 2 billion dollars in construction projects over his 25 years in the industry. He has managed the installation of over 8 Megawatts of solar projects nationally, including small, medium and large commercial projects and residential projects. Some of the local solar projects he has managed include Hurd 1, 2, 3, & 4 (500kW), Star Concrete (410kW), Traditional Medicinal (400kW) and The City of Novato Teen Center (90kW). He has also managed large scale construction projects such as Eagle Ridge golf course and residential community, Rivermark residential and commercial community, and Four Seasons Active Adult Communities all over the Southern California Region. Michael formerly sat on the board of directors for D.R. Horton’s Los Angeles Division.

Dieter Folk
Senior Vice President, Northern California and Reno
Dieter joined PetersenDean in 2009. He has 30+ years in the roofing industry and his company, Old Country Roofing, was the first NHBA certified roofing company in the United States. More recently, he was the owner on OCR Solar and Roofing, Inc. and partnered with BP Solar in providing state of the art turnkey solar roofing systems. Dieter is a licensed California general building, roofing and insulation contractor and holds a Nevada contractor's roofing license. He is the current President of the Northern California Association of Roofing Contractors, a chapter of CALPASC, and has taken an active role in CALPASC to help review and set standards for subcontractors in the roofing business.

R. Michael Momboisse
Executive Vice President, Strategic Development
Mike formerly served as President of OCR Solar & Roofing, acquired by PetersenDean in 2009. Before joining OCR, Mike served as Of Counsel in the Corporate Department of Carr & Ferrell LLP where he specialized in mergers and acquisitions, corporate financings and general corporate law. Prior to that time Mike also served in a variety of different roles including Vice President and Co-Manager of the Shugart Venture Fund and Chief Financial Officer/Vice President Corporate Development for EMCON, a NASDAQ-listed environmental engineering, consulting and construction company where he oversaw the strategic growth and eventual sale of the company. Mike earned his BSC Degree in Accounting from Santa Clara University and his JD from the University of California at Los Angeles School of Law

David Morgan
Senior Vice President, Las Vegas
David Morgan is General Manager of Red Rose, Inc. a subsidiary of PetersenDean located in Las Vegas, Nevada. There, Dave has spent more than 35 years in the roofing business. He began as a tradesman, became a supervisor and estimator, and later an owner of Red Rose, one of Southern Nevada's most well-recognized roofing companies.

Gregory O'Donnell
Senior Vice President, Inland Empire Region
Gregory O'Donnell joined PetersenDean in 2003. Today he leads the Inland Empire, Orange County and San Diego regions for PetersenDean, overseeing operations including construction specifications, estimating, project budgeting, and sales activities. A California-licensed contractor in general building, roofing, and sheet metal, Greg is involved in the Building Industry Association's San Diego and Inland Empire divisions, as well as the Western States Roofing Contractors Association.

David Wikel
Senior Vice President of Florida Operations
David Wikel has more than 20 years of experience in the commercial roofing industry. He began a career in Sales and Estimating with Therma Seal Roofs in 1986 and purchased the company in 2002. When Therma Seal Roof Systems, Inc. was acquired by PetersenDean in 2008, Dave became the regional manager for Petersen Dean in charge of four divisions in Florida. He is a past board member of the Florida Roofers and Sheet Metal Association, and is currently a director with The Boys and Girls Club of Palm Beach County. Dave holds a degree in Business Administration from Duke University.

Johannes Moehnle
Chief Information Officer
In his role as Chief Information Officer, Johannes Moehnle oversees all aspects of PetersenDean's accounting and information systems. Johannes became a consultant in the United States in 1978, designing and establishing accounting and information systems after earning degrees in business administration, communications, and electronics. For 18 years prior to joining PetersenDean in 2003, he served as controller and IT manager for Pacific Coast Roofing.

Jason Brinkmann
Senior Vice President, Texas
Jason Brinkmann is division manager of Brinkmann Roofing Company Inc., a subsidiary of PetersenDean located in Houston, Texas. Jason oversees daily operations of Brinkmann's corporate headquarters in Houston and three additional locations throughout Texas. He has served as general manager of Brinkmann for the eight years prior to joining the PetersenDean team in 2007. He earned his B.A. in Business Management at Texas A&M University.

Craig Dallas
Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Southeast Division
Craig Dallas joined PetersenDean in October 2007 after an extensive career in sales and marketing within the building materials industry. He was with Boral Industries for more than 13 years and prior to that he worked with the Masco Corporation. After graduating from Duke University, Craig began his career at RJR-Nabisco, working at the company’s corporate office in the operations, sales, and marketing areas. Craig's primary focus is to use his experience in building national alliances with the country's top builders and commercial contractors to implement PetersenDean’s strategy to grow our business from Florida into the Souheastern United States.
