The Web Developer is responsible, in partnership with other stakeholders, for the technical strategy and development for Petersen Dean’s digital presence. The primary goal of this role is to ensure that the organization effectively and efficiently utilize digital technologies to promote the Petersen Dean brand.

The Web Developer will ensure Petersen Dean’s online presence is dynamic, up-to-date, accurate, and reaches a wide audience. The Internet and web based applications are a major component of Petersen Dean’s expanding communications strategy and serves as a tool to educate, inform, and promote Petersen Dean’s products and services. This position will also be participate and be responsible for internal web development efforts, CRM, and other duties.

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and support internal and external website business initiatives
  • Develop, implement, and deploy new web based technologies
  • Support Intranet and CRM development and product maturity
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel
  • Convert requirements into design specifications and database structures
  • Administer and develop reporting and business intelligence platforms
  • Provide systems administration
  • Assists with technology planning.

Qualifications

  • 8-10 years’ experience working in a team web development environment
  • Advanced knowledge of web development techniques and Programming languages including:     HTML, CSS, XML, ASP, ASP.NET, JavaScript applications (AJAX), cross-platform compatibility,  and information architecture
  • 5 years’ experience in Windows Server and IIS administration
  • 5 years’ experience in Microsoft SQL Server programming and administration
  • 5 years’ experience using Perl
  • 5 years’ experience using PHP
  • Complete fluency in Windows-based PCs and Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, outlook, Access, and Visio
  • Microsoft Desktop and Server OS Administration
  • Apache Web server Administration
  • Linux Server OS Administration
  • Domain Name management, DNS configuration
  • Project management experience
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to create comprehensive technical documentation and drawings
  • Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments

  • Must be a team-player, self-motivated, and have flexibility in their schedule

Education and Certifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in an information technology related field
  • A history of career development, technology progression, and continual learning
